History

Farrout 72 was purchased in 2007 with the purpose of participating in the World Arc, 2008/9 beginning in Saint Lucia january 2008, Farrout 72 also participated in the ARC nowember 2007.
Before the journey in 2007 the boat went through a major mechanically refit, all systems where professionally serviced, by the producer, many pumps replaced and all running gear renewed and gearbox changed.
The boat was equipped with spare parts for a fortune, so we could be self sufficient around the globe. A new genakker from north was added to the sail wardrobe. At the arrival in caribbean, the old generator was changed to a bigger and more reliable generator from Northern Light.
The journey from Europe to existing location in Thailand, was done with very few mechanical problems.
In Australia we had a Thrane and Thrane, Sailor broad band communication installed, and we had new Genoa and mainsail, spectra gatorback from North Sails Denmark, 2009.
After arrival in Thailand, Phuket in november 2009 we decided to do a cosmetic refit, New teak deck, and a full paint job.
This was done during 2010/11 with a danish boat builder as responsible coordinator.
During the refit we decided to renew all sea cooks, and all hosing inside the boat and we made another mechanical overhaul of the boat with many upgrades. A professional rigger from Hamble in England made a fulle rig check, with mast out and al rigging dissembled. A bow thruster from max power was installed. The boat has always been kept in a very good condition by professional crew and looks almost as new inside out. and it is definitely the best looking Farr 72 on the water.
